Cee’s Share Your World, June 26, 2017

Cee’s share your world…only the best ongoing challenge on WP! Every Monday we have thoughtful questions asked of us..they make us think, remember, or wish. I love them!

share your world challenge

What goal are you working on now?  My immediate goal is to finally quit smoking. I have managed to white knuckle it down to about six cigarettes per day..this is HUGE since I was smoking almost two packs every day. I am allergic to the patches, the meds, the gum………so heck, I simply need to make it a matter of mind over addiction. This is where I thank God for a higher power than me that I can throw this craving towards.

What is one thing you’re glad you tried but would never do again?  Hang gliding…….yes, I AM that idiot.  I tried it on a dare and was terrified out of my mind the entire time.  It didn’t help that landing was a crash and burn experience, either…..well…it didn’t burn exactly. Just my knees were “burned”..horrible case of road rash upon my extremely “graceful” landing.

Did you choose your profession or did it choose you? My profession chose me. I had worked at multiple types of jobs over the years from parole and probation officer to heavy equipment operator,..from grocery clerk to medical office manager…from gardener to dialysis technician. Add to that my alcohol addiction and subsequent recovery and TADA!!! Drug Counselor!

Have you ever gotten lost?  Yes. In the back streets of old town Jerusalem………..took me over two hours to find my way out again.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?  I bought the screen doors for my front porch.  This week I will have the assistance of a retired carpenter to place them appropriately so they don’t crash down the first time we open them!

  1. Love your honesty. Great answers. Good luck in the smoking, I’m counting on you!

  2. You actually tried hang-gliding! Wow! It looks fun, but I’m not that adventurous. Glad you survived your experience! 😉

    1. you are far too intelligent to attempt it.

  3. I now have a visual picture of you on your knees being dragged along the ground OMG
