Love this challenge…..and honestly, I wish more people would become involved. it doesn’t take that long and we learn so much about each other.
When you leave a room, do you turn the lights off behind you or keep the lights on throughout your house most of the time? The lights only come on when I need to see. The ceiling fans stay on constantly. Even on our most dismal rainy days, additional light is rarely needed. The only light that is on 24/7 is the tiny nightlight in the bathroom hallway.
What do you feel is the most enjoyable way to spend $500? Seriously? “Spending money” can be ENJOYABLE? Are you sure that is what you wanted to ask? If I had $500.00 to waste I sure wouldn’t be spending it anytime soon, but shoving it into my savings account so fast everyone’s heads would spin.
$500.00 is a mortgage payment…it is 6 months worth of groceries…it is new brakes or tires for the truck AND a tune-up. It’s a round trip air ticket to Guatemala…………it ISN’T something to just throw away.
Complete this sentence: My favorite thing to do on my cell phone is… uh. Make a phone call? you know….phone…..call….make one? sheesh
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
This…well actually three of those. That is a dining room table cloth that goes down the middle of a table instead of completely covering it. I bought three exactly alike at a flea market. I took them apart and am sewing the printed sides together to use as the backing on the quilt I am making.
Now I know it looks really blue in the picture (flash did that, sorry) but it is really a green color with yellow streaks through it. It’s actually pretty (yes, even George said it was pretty). My quilt top is an amalgamation of shapes that somehow managed to look fairly good. I wanted to do a star pattern but all those little triangles threw me so off kilter I completely lost track of the pattern I wanted…….and ended up with this.
dang camera…that green is an almost perfect match to the material but you’d never tell from this photo! In any event, I have never quilted before except for a coverlet that attached to my settee, so this is a huge first for me. (Told you I totally lost track of that pattern!)
I know “real” quilters will look at it and think “Poor Suze”…ya know what? I don’t care! I am so happy with this weirdly wonderful quilt top that I just don’t care!
