Share Your World, August 28, 2017

Monday’s are my favorite blog days.  Normally it is due to the Share Your World challenge put out in the blogosphere by Cee Neuner. Today, it is because of Ends and Beginnings Blog first and foremost. This challenge is just the icing on my cake of happiness!

So, on to the challenge. As always, Cee’s questions are in a pretty color.

What would constitute a “perfect” day for you? Today.  Today is a perfect day. It has nothing to do with the sun shining brightly, the cool temperatures, the fact I sat outside sipping coffee and watching the birds at my feeder.  It has nothing to do with the fact that I felt physically great this morning. It has EVERYTHING to do with the serendipity of seeing my daughter in law’s picture on a blog I follow.

It is because in the midst of the flooding I have been unable to reach my son by phone or through our internet connections. It is because I have seen the flooding of his neighborhood in Houston online and on the news.

It is because my son is disabled and not physically capable of crawling up onto his roof should he need to do so. It is because his lovely wife is constantly by his side…and it is because Ends and Beginnings posted a picture on his blog post about the flooding.

For in that picture, in the background, I saw my daughter in law and the family dog. And I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my son is okay. For wherever she goes, there too goes my son.

Complete this sentence: My favorite place in the whole world….. is my own front porch swing.

Who was your best friend in elementary school (prior to age 12)?  Randy Nuckles. 3 houses down from mine, born three days after me, and my very best friend.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Sorry, but I simply can not think of anything besides the moment this morning when I read that blog post. You all will have to accept that IT inspired me. Go check out Ends and Beginnings for yourself.

  1. Loved your post. Beautiful sentiments.

  2. What are the freaking odds that YOUR daughter in law would accidentally be photographed as part of another picture??? What a MIRACLE!! So happy for you knowing you have peace of mind now.

    1. I know. It blew my mind seeing her this morning. I think I blew E&B’s mind too when I commented. I have been pouring over pictures from Houston since it first started and there was nothing at all…then blammo! There was Rhonda! it was a God thing!
