Cee’s share your world, November 20, 2017

When I was working Mondays were one of my off days, so I never really understood people’s whinging on about how they hated them. I still love them, and not just because I am “off” all the time now…but because of this challenge. So, thanks Cee for making Mondays better for those that “hate’ them!

share your world challenge

If you were having difficulty on an important test and could safely cheat by looking at someone else’s paper, would you do so?  No.  I did once in grade school. I actually cheated off of Randy Nuckles math test.  I figured he knew more math as he was “a boy” and everyone knew (especially the teachers) that boys were better at it.  I got caught.

The teacher upon seeing the same mistakes on BOTH tests assumed (I thought) that Randy had cheated. She called both of us to the front of the room during recess and said “you both cheated, so you both get “F’s” on the test”.

Randy said “I didn’t study but I didn’t cheat” and looked at me as if I had torched his favorite baseball glove.

I admitted it was me that cheated. The teacher just smiled and said “Randy, go play outside until the bell rings”.

Me?  I got to sit in the corner facing the class after writing “I am a cheater” on the blackboard fifty times. I never cheated at anything again.

What things in nature do you find most beautiful? Autumn leaves on trees, a clear stream, the woods. Mountains…….the desert.  Oh heck, I find ALL of nature to be beautiful.

Complete this sentence: When I travel I love to….discover a different culture. Immerse myself in the history, religions, food, lifestyle of whichever country I am visiting. I can not abide going somewhere foreign to me and simply looking at the “sights”. I want to know how they came about, who were the people and what did they believe. otherwise, what’s the point?

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  my heater. I turned the floor heater on and it works. My home is warm when it is cold outside. it is a blessing.

  1. You were really called out on your test. I’m so sorry. I was always good in math. 😀

    1. turned out that embarrassment was a great life lesson. Kids don’t get those anymore as it might damage their fragile egos.
