It’s just my opinion….

and because it is an OPINION, there really isn’t any right or wrong to it.  It may anger some, it may make others laugh…either with humor or disbelief.  It isn’t here to make you change your mind..YOU after all do have opinions of your own. You may not respect the opinion, and that’s okay. I may not respect YOUR opinion which is also okay.  But the respect we show and have for each other as thinking opinionated people should never be at risk for simply stating our opinion.

There should be discussion.  There should never be name calling, disrespect, hurt feelings on either side, or cursing.  Derogatory terms should remain unwritten, unstated …un-thought would be best but we can’t have everything.

Why am I blathering on about opinions and reactions to them? Because a beloved friend has been dealt the cold shoulder, the vitriolic words, the hatred, the name calling and the reader’s desire for her to go to horrible places….and that is unacceptable.

So, it came to me.  Write a post, Suze, and state once and for all your true opinions instead of simply being an instigator. No Devil’s Advocate allowed here today. So a list of my true beliefs, feelings, OPINIONS.

  1. Men, unless they are in a committed relationship with the woman in question, should NEVER have a say in whether a woman gets an abortion. It isn’t his body.
  2. Abortion, same-sex marriage, and equal rights for all should be legal. If you don’t like them, don’t DO them.
  3. It doesn’t matter what political party someone belongs to, there are assholes in all of them.
  4. Global warming is real and is escalating to the point where we may not have a means of stopping, much less reversing it, until it is too late.
  5. Creationists are uneducated in reality.
  6. Science matters, and no matter how much anyone denies it, science is provable.
  7. Religion and politics are separated in the constitution for a damned good reason.
  8. We need a universal healthcare system now.
  9.  There is no “one true” religion. They are ALL valid for the people who believe them.
  10. The US is not now and has NEVER been a “Christian” nation, nor should it EVER be one.
  11. Being “gay” is NOT a choice.
  12. The President of the US is not just a serial LIAR, but a sexual predator and Narcissist, has committed several acts that violate the constitution AT BEST and are treasonous at worst and needs to be removed from office.
  13. “Alternative fact” is just another name for LIE.

I think that is probably enough. I can feel the arguments being thought up…restrain yourselves.

You may state an opinion, but you may NOT argue, name call, denigrate in any way, any PERSON.
