I wonder what it is about the human brain that allows us to pull names out of long ago childhood events and shove them to the forefront of our minds? Fluent Historian posed a musical challenge: every Wednesday to share some classical music with everyone by way of the blog posts. I picked up the challenge (even though is it long over and done by the rest of the bloggosphere) because I love music.
And honestly, because I love babbling.
Anyway, Rachmaninoff is the name that popped up in my head this morning….blame it on lack of sleep.
This is the one piece that I managed to learn to play as a child. I can still pick it out on a keyboard.
Very beautiful and peaceful. Thank you.
