Cee’s share your world challenge is a weekly challenge of four or five questions. I happen to love it. Especially since it lasts all year long and allows me to share…well….me!

share your world challenge

Cee’s question are in a pretty color…my answers in a boring one. Let’s hope the answers themselves are not boring as well!

Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to…. saving enough money to electrocute electrify! my hubby’s shed so all his modeling crap will go away!  It’s bad enough that he as the “hobby”…well, actually I am extremely proud as over 1000 of his models are in various museums from Texas to Oklahoma, BUT…they are everywhere in my front room.  the front room has to be a computer/sewing/guest/television and MODELLING room now.  One, a gigantic 1/32 sized bomber is hanging in front of the television and when i get up to change channels (no I DON’T know how to use the remote control!) it bonks me in the head!

What is your favorite comfort snack food?  an apple…or an orange…or an orange covered with chocolate.

What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?  Arthur Treacher’s Fish and Chips.

My first job was working here. I had the glorious job of making cole slaw all day long…and putting it into little tiny plastic containers. Eventually I “graduated” to deep fryer cooking of shrimp and fish.  The french fries…well we didn’t call them french fries. They were the thick cut steak fries and we called them chips. Only the assistant manager was allowed to use the chip fryer as he was over 18. I was 14 with a worker’s permit. I worked 17 hours per week (that’s all that was allowed for my age) for the grand and glorious amount of $1.30 per hour.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?

As I was febrile for the vast majority of the week, the ONLY thing that inspired me was immodium, ibuprofin and my fleece sheets.

  2. I remember Arther Treacher’s! I’ve been vegetarian for 35+ years, but I can still taste the crispy fish–

  4. I do hope you’re feeling better. Funny, we all seem to have hated our first jobs! Maybe that’s WHY they were “FIRST JOBS” – we moved on! <a href=" Share Your World. “>
