Really bad poetry…and I am SO not joking!

The Daily Prompter doth trifle

with words that often do stifle

our nascent brains

which turn into drains

then lead inexorably towards libel.

Yea…I know, I know…………poetry again. BUT in my defense, it is a limerick! Limericks are cool. Ask The Doctor, he is the authority on collness! he wears a FEZ after all…how cool is that?

A canner, exceedingly canny,
One morning remarked to his granny.
A canner can can,
Anything that he can,
But a canner can’t can a can, can he?

See? The first one wasn’t as bad as it could be! THAT was an example of a bad limerick that isn’t cool…you don’t even NEED the doctor to tell you it isn’t, you just KNEW (didn’t you?)

Once I visited France,
And learned a new, awesome dance.
I twirled,
And I swirled,
And then I lost my pants.

  1. Hahaha! I actually own a fez, believe it or not. I collected old hats for years, and when I saw the fez bedazzled with Shriners memorabilia I just had to have it. Maybe I should start wearing it, since they’re cool and all. 😃

      5. Hahaha! Ok, I’ll see if I can locate it, keep my scrubs on, a lab coat, and a smug look, to make it look officially official, and post a pic for the next Oddball Challenge. 😃😃

  5. Those are great limericks! I’ve tried writing one or two, and they turned out just awful. Couldn’t even finish them…they are fun to read, but so hard (for me, anyway) to construct!

    1. I can’t seem to do “normal” poetry…it makes no sense to me at all. The limericks though just pour out without any problems.
