A penny per ad………….

is what ad sense turns out.

Now, I don’t know about you but I make more money at my annual yard sale than I ever would with WordAds…or Ad Sense…or whatever the heck that “monetization” is called.

I turned that sucker off this morning.  1.53 in two months time just isn’t worth the annoyance to me.

Besides, it slowed down significantly the amount of time it took to load each page.

So, yard sales are back.  At least this way, I can spend the day with my best friend while we while away the  hours!

  1. Well done you! It’s better to sell a product off your page I think! ☺️

  2. I’ve never tried to monetize my blog. It just doesn’t seem worth it. I’m even thinking about upgrading to a paid plan on WordPress just to get rid of those pesky ads that appear at the bottom of my posts.

    1. they still appear. I upgraded. You have to then turn them off in the editor. Pain in the patootie

      1. Hmm. I thought WordPress.com ads were not shown on the upgraded plan.

      4. Damn! I don’t need/want the “business” plan.

  3. I don’t “monetize” mine either, and never will. This is a distraction, not a job, for me. And they annoy the hell outta me others’ sites, so I won’t do that to those who read mine. Does anybody even click on those things anyway? Danny says they do, but I can’t imagine why anyone would. They’re usually just crap and click bait anyway. 😃

    1. a lot of people seem to click them. I am absolutely sure though that they are trying to click something else at the time……..lol

      1. These ads are bunk. At least the ones I’ve seen on people’s blogs. Bicoins, is he cheating, why did Joanna quit Fixer Upper. People are dumber than I gave them credit for if they’re clicking on that crap. I don’t get it.
