Cee’s Share Your World, February 12, 2018

Cee’s photography hosts the Share Your World Challenge.  It is a once a week all year long one and my absolute favorite of every challenge I have done.  Why not join in?  It is simply four or five questions once a week, designed to bring back memories or make some new ones.

Her questions are always a pretty color…my answers are not.  Pretty colored that is.

Are you a practical jokester?

No. I can not abide practical jokes. They are usually a bit mean-spirited or designed to embarrass someone..so I don’t participate in them. The world is hard enough to deal with without making someone feel stupid.

Who cuts your hair?  You, a friend, or professional.

I would love to have a professional cut my hair…but I have to admit I just usually do it myself. Can’t you tell?

Did you have a stuffed animal when you were a kid, if so what kind?

I have an elephant….Dumbo (of course).  My paternal grandmother bought it for me before I was born.  That elephant has accompanied me on every important journey…when I had my tonsils out at age 5 Dumbo was there.  She went with me on my first day of school. When I graduated High School, my dad held Dumbo during the ceremony. She went to college with me, she was at my wedding. My sister brought her to me in the hospital when I had my heart attack….when I die that elephant will also be cremated with me.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

My friend Angela and I drove to Stillwater to a fabric store.  They were having their once a year sale and I was able to purchase enough fabric for an entire year’s worth of projects.  I have material for everything from several quilts to pillows to clothing. the best part of the trip though was the time spent with Angela. She makes me laugh.  I make her laugh. The entire trip was non-stop amusement.

  6. It’s wonderful you’ve been able to include your elephant friend for all the big, and little, moments you’ve experienced over the years. 🙂
