Cee’s Share Your World Challenge. Cee is a photographer……her posts are filled with gorgeous and/or haunting photos. She also shares several challenges. I love this one. Share Your World.
Cee’s questions are in a pretty blue.
If a distant uncle dies and you were always his favorite and leaves you $50,000 (any currency) in his will, what would you do?
What sound or sounds do you love?
What’s your middle name? Why?
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Wow……50 grand? Cool. Okay, so what would I do? I’d finish paying off my house…it’s 2800.00 still to go…….then I would HIRE someone to replace my wood floors…open the attic by adding a stairway in the bedroom closet, and floor the attic. (I need storage space desperately!). I’d hire a plumber (probably Michael from Plumb Right) to take out the bathtub and put in a shower with a seat. Okay, so now I have spent…..probably 5000.00. I think I would probably buy the supplies to create a patio in the backyard..close to George’s shed so we could spend some time outside. I’d get my cataracts removed. Okay, now I have spent about another 9000.00. the rest goes into savings.
What SOUND? Ummmmmmmmmmm, Gunnar’s grumble when he thinks he needs to protect us from the squirrels in the yard……Dasher’s bark when George and I hug………..Angie’s giggle…..my baby sister’s laugh. Daisy’s “harroooooooooooo” when she wants some attention………The sound of the woodpecker in the front yard drilling for breakfast………Sam’s laughter.
My middle name is Lamar. I was named after my uncle Harry Lamar Matthews who was a pilot for the British in World War II before America was attacked at Pearl Harbor. Harry, my mother’s older brother, was shot down over the Channel on his way back from France. He had at the time of his death credit for shooting down 76 Messerschmidts and over 100 assorted planes.
I really appreciated my friend Angie. She let me rearrange her furniture in her dining room….and she helped me test various products that i needed to blog about.
