I went through my list of “questions to ask people when you are bored” draft (which may never be actually posted as I am rarely bored enough to answer them) and pulled out a half dozen or so ………..I figured I’d answer them, then challenge my readers to answer the same questions.
It’s worth a shot at being “not bored” anyway.
If you were called on to serve a mission where would you least like to serve? France…….Okay that sounds crazy. BUT, I hated taking French as a kid..I couldn’t make those sounds to save my life, the teacher that taught it was hairy and had a wart on her nose and I dislike snails…..
If you were called on to serve a mission where would you most like to serve? Central America…anywhere actually. I’d like to see Costa Rica, I’d love to go back to Guatemala..or Mexico..maybe Panama..I still can’t speak Spanish beyond asking where the bathroom is or how to order food at a restaurant, but I love the food, the colors, the people.
What age do you consider old? when I was a kid, 20 was old..at 20..50 was old…I am over 60 now and 90 seems like it might be “close’ to being old.
Which birthday are you most looking forward to and why? None of them…okay that is wrong. I am looking forward to 65 so my Medicare kicks in..Cataract surgery here I come.
Do you prefer pens or pencils? Neither..I prefer a paintbrush.
Do you like your handwriting? no…I like my typewriting.
When did you last visit the zoo? Angie, Garry, George and I all went to the Oklahoma City Zoo last spring. Angie and I rented golf carts to run around in (that Zoo is HUGE!) and left our husbands in the dust racing around. I LOVE the Zoo and we go a couple of times a year.
Have you ever stayed on a farm? Heck I LIVED on a farm in Tennessee. granted it was a tobacco farm (yes, I started smoking after working there picking tobacco)…and I stayed in a sharecroppers cabin without heat or a/c…but I had my own garden space, grew my own food, learned how to can foods and generally learned how to survive. I’d need those skills later when I was homeless.
