  1. That this happened in Texas does not surprise me at all. The highly conservative Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) has a history of revisionism when it comes to slavery. At one point the SBOC ordered that the state’s textbooks be revised to say that the cause of the Civil War was states’ rights and not slavery.

  2. I’m sure the Texas curriculum has a longer list of pro’s than con’s for slavery, and there are a lot of churches in good ol’ Texass
