FOWC: Skedaddle

Fandango has picked up the daily prompt ball since WP Mr. Daily Prompter dropped it………..and is sharing a word of the day via Fivedohtoh.com.

the word today is “skedaddle”….a lovely word that (in America) the old fogies use because their parents did……basically it means to get a move on..run like mad..hurry up dammit! so here ya go, my friend…Suze’s response!

  1. That was awesome, but best left to the very fit and able. I can’t remember the last time I heard someone say skedaddle, probably my aunt or my grandad. 🙂

  4. Oh yeah, skedaddle! I like that word and I do say it a lot, actually. I tell the cats to skedaddle off the porch so I can get out there to fill their bowls. I tell my grand-daughter to skedaddle in yonder, to go find me something. When the little dog next door comes to bark at the cats, I yell at him to skedaddle home. Fun word! 🙂
