families belong together

From what I understand there are more than 700 cities across the country participating in the Families Belong Together rallies.

For those that don’t know (where have you been anyway? MARS?) These rallies are designed to let the idiots in power know that we, the people, do NOT approve of their draconian measures to stop “illegal immigration” by stealing babies and children.

I was scheduled to go to the rally in OKC this afternoon…BUT…..between the extreme heat and my risen blood pressure I have been too ill to attend.

I am pretty sure this marks the first time in almost 50 years I have NOT protested something.

BUT, on a gooder (ya like that? I am channeling Trump) note, I managed to convince a good 37 teenagers they should go, and they asked friends, who asked friends…and there are now 273 kids (KIDS!!!!) from Enid in Oklahoma City marching to beat the band!

So, I am pretty sure it is okay that I am taking a break before I stroke out.

In the meantime, I am quite happily harassing Mr Trump, et al on twitter. So far, I have been blocked by nine Republican senators, 47 Republican representatives, the VP and Paul Ryan.  For some reason Mrs. Trump hasn’t blocked me yet. If I were her, I would block me.

  1. I braved rain and lightning to participate in our small rally, about 100 people. Suze, in spirit you were with me in Inverness, Florida today. After that I attended the 1st ever PRIDE event in our blood red county. This is new to me because during my 20 some years of cross-country trucking, I never had the opportunity to participate. I LIKE IT!!!

    1. Isn’t it the most marvelous feeling in the world? I attend pride events whenever they occur. It used to make George a bit uncomfortable…but he eventually got used to it. lol

      1. Yeah, the upside of trump is that people are involving themselves.

  2. From across the atlantic I look on and see the news of these rallies and protests and it restores my faith in the good of those Americans who are not represented by the current appalling administration. Hope you feel better soon and keep up the good work.

    1. thanks sweetie! Once I can afford some medication (first of the month is getting closer!!!) I will feel remarkably better. Thanks to the cheeto-in-chief getting his sticky fingers into our insurance, it’s been “do I want toilet paper and water, or do I want medicines?” LOL

      1. I hate that your health system forces you to make choices like that.

  4. I hope you’re feeling better soon. It’d be too much to ask the weather to behave.

  5. I still can’t get Trump to block me. I guess I’ll just have to keep calling him an asshole. Get better–it’s pretty hot here too so I know how you feel!

    1. if you laugh at him and say he’s so stupid you can’t stop laughing..he might block you. I told him he was “dumber than a box of bigly humongous rocks”…
