As always with this challenge, the questions are in a pretty color and my answers (while enormously interesting) are not.
Last week I asked a question about favorite beverages and the overwhelming favorite was coffee. If you drink coffee, how do you like it best? Hot, cold, iced, with cream, with sugar or black as black? Hot as I can make it with a spoon of sugar or a packet of sweetener. I also like hazelnut creme flavoring and a dash of milk. I know, tons of calories. I don’t care, it’s good.
If you don’t drink coffee, how has that beverage impacted YOUR world? I also drink a lot of tea…and we all know about the tea trade, the Boston Tea Party, the revolution, etc………that’s a pretty big impact.
In your opinion, what’s the greatest invention of our age? I can almost hear everyone saying things like “electricity”, “computers”, “the phone”..when I think it is something much simpler. The water proof match. yea, honestly, I think those little suckers saved me from freezing to death several times. I was able to light a fire even while rain was pouring down…..or if it were snowing. It’s the little things that we take for granted when we have a home, but when one is living in a car, under a bridge or in the woods that little match is the most important thing in the world.
Global warming? Reality or myth? One has only to see the changes in our weather to know Climate Change is real. There is a natural cycle to this world, and we have mucked about with it so much that cycle has changed. For people to say it does not exist simply amazes me. They are going against the vast majority of scientists when they do so and are willingly ignoring the changes everyone can see.
Are you an explorer or more a home body? I am all about getting in the truck and just going…no destination in mind, just going.
What were you grateful for this week? That I have such good friends. you know who you are.
