songs that touch me

my favorite songs all seem to be sad or melancholy..I wonder why? I am generally a happy camper..my days are happy (unless I am discussing politics) and I look forward to each new day.

BUT….I am drawn to songs that either make me sad or make me cry.

These are a few of them.

    1. I loved the original star is born with James Mason and Judy Garland. not so much Babs take on it. Kris Kristopherson just didn’t play right next to Babs for some reason. didn’t know another one was in the works.

      1. My buddy, a huge Elvis fan, says Babs wanted Elvis for the role, but Colonel Parker refused.

  4. “Fool on the Hill” is definitely a melancholy song. I also find another Beatles song, “Nowhere Man,” to be a sad commentary. And then, on a somewhat similar note, is the Moody Blues’ “Melancholy Man.”
