Holy Crap! My buddy Robert, of non-alcoholic student fame created an award and I was the very first one he chose to receive it! HOLY CRAP! He thinks I am special…..I am still choked up over that. Just for the wonderful feelings you engendered, Robert, is a reason to give you thanks. There are so many MORE reasons to thank you though…for laughing at my stupid jokes..for encouraging me to write (and read) poetry (even though I still think I suck at it)..for caring enough to comment and encourage other new bloggers…you are something special yourself!
The Blogging Chums Award is given to particularly brilliant bloggers who are really providing something special to the community, either through their writing or the way they engage with other people: they’re just brilliant!
- Be sure to use the award image!
- List the rules & about paragraph!
- Thank whoever nominated you!
- Write a letter to someone who means a lot to you to spread some positivity around the Internet – anyone will do!
- Nominate 5-10 more people for the award and go let them know about it in their comments!
My letter to a chum……she doesn’t blog; she tried but hates writing. She’d rather read!
When I met you I was in a particularly bad place emotionally…and you lifted me up. You made me laugh when I thought I never would again. You are just as crazy about my puppies as I am about yours. You encourage my crazy hobbies, and taught me how to quilt. Yes, I know I have gone a bit crazy with the quilting…but you see that as just me being me and not some wierd thing I need counseling for! You gave me a home when George and I needed one when family couldn’t or wouldn’t even help. My life would be so much less had I never met you. I am so very grateful for our friendship and I love you.
Now, to steal Robert’s words:
“This may seem like a bit of an odd award but I think it’s so important to tell the people closest to us how much we care about them, and in a world that is so full of hate and division, it’s the little things we do that can help make a big impact – so go tell someone you love them!
This award isn’t compulsory by any means but if you decide to take part, it would mean the world to me. I wonder if there will ever be a day when I’m scrolling through WordPress Reader and I see the Blogging Chum Award floating around on other blogs!”
Well Rob, soon you will see dozens of the award you created floating around the interweb…and thanks for nominating exactly 1/2 of the blogs I wanted to so I can’t!
My Nominations are……………….
