Thank you Sparky for hosting the SYW. It has been (and still is) my favorite weekly challenge.
Are you an Early to bed, early to rise person, a night owl and day sleeper/dozer, or an ‘I’ll sleep when I’m dead’ person? I tend towards insomnia at the best of times, so sleeping whenever I fall over in exhaustion is my sleep pattern.
What are some misconceptions about your hobby, should you have a hobby? I refurbish furniture, quilt and paint. I paint walls, doors, windowsills, furniture…never paintings. People think I mean paintings until they see my home.
A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here? He is here because thanks to the freezing weather he took a left at Albuquerque instead of a right, and he doesn’t say anything. Penguins don’t talk.
Aliens have landed…do they come in peace? no, the Twilight Zone was prophetic..they came with a cook book “how to serve Humans”
What are you really, incredibly thankful for this week?
That my husband of almost 40 years is still alive. George has a “silent” cardiac condition that was diagnosed this past week. He has had multiple heart attacks and as a result his heart is very (very damaged). The electrical currant signalling the heart to beat is fading away, or misfiring.
I am tremendously grateful that someone invented a wearable defibrillator as it has already saved him…..he’s been wearing it all of three days.
His surgery is scheduled for this coming Tuesday.
I am also tremendously grateful to the WP family of bloggers for their outpouring of good wishes, prayers and faith that we will be alright. Sometimes just a good wish, a thoughtful comment, or just a “we’re with you Suze” is enough to help someone get through the horrible times that come to us all. Thank you, all of you, for being here, for such heartfelt hopes when I need them.
