Daily fun 3, December 13

Rory’s daily fun three..where he gives a question and we have to come up with three things in answer……..it’s actually harder than it sounds.

Name Three …

Three of your childhood books?

Three of your best memories?

Things that are yellow and triangular?

Wishes you would like to be granted if you had a magic genie lamp?

Beautiful places you have ever visited?

Things you fall back on to make you feel better when having a bad day?

Things that best describe your family?

Of your favourite blogs?

Things you would choose if you had ten minutes in your favourite store if you didn’t have to pay for them?

Dishes you can cook in less than 15 minutes and ready to eat direct from serve?

Pet peeves?

Bird species beginning with the name G?

Of your most favourite letters from the alphabet?

Of the most boring things you have ever done?

Questions you would ask of your pet if you could?

Of your favourite cartoons from now or when younger?

Of the emoticons you use the most when writing or in social media or comments?

and my responses:

  1. Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll,  The Chronicles of Narnia (yes the entire set!)
  2. My wedding day to George……the day my Son graduated from Boot Camp…….the day George woke up from his heart surgery.
  3. a street warning sign, that toy that  a baby pushed an object into a ball with cut-outs (No, I don’t know what it is called) and………..I have absolutely no idea.
  4. I’d wish the floors in my house were repaired (it isn’t that they are un-level or old, it’s the holes I object to), I’d wish George and I could have an all expenses paid month long vacation to Great Britain, and I’d wish for an impeachment of every one of Trump’s minions, and the trump himself to be followed by indictments of all of them PLUS his kids, AND that they were all of em (every blasted one) found guilty and thrown UNDER a prison.
  5. Guatemala, Israel (the wilderness outside of Jerusalem is magnificent) and the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and Virginia…
  6. Music, Music and my friend Angela
  7. Loyal to each other, Humorous, fun-loving
  8. Quest, The Rocky Safari, Richmond Road
  9. new socks and underwear for George, a pair of jeans for me, sweaters for my dogs
  10. Beef and Broccoli, egg drop soup, General Tso’s Chicken
  11. saying “exact same” instead of “exactly the same”, saying “ax” instead of “ask”, saying “amble-ance” instead of Ambulance”..I am seeing a pattern here! LOL
  12. Greater Heron, Gadwall (duck), Gannet
  13. Q, D, S
  14. Babysat small children, worked as an accounting clerk, sitting in a doctor’s office waiting room
  15. I have an issue with this..I already have a dog that plays with my computer and HAS CALLED MY FRIEND ON SKYPE, so I am not sure I want to ask them anything. He has taken a picture of himself with the computer camera program and I CAN’T EVEN OPEN THE DANGED THING! So, no Rory, I wouldn’t ask them anything!

  1. Bugs Bunny, Foghorn leghorn (the rooster) and Aquaman!

Now, more importantly, can you explain the following ?

Egg drop soup, General Tso’s Chicken – how do you cook these?

Yeah, l think it’s probably best to NOT ask your dog any questions as well 🙂

    1. egg drop soup: chicken broth, three eggs, whipped, 1/2 T soy sauce, one spring onion shopped, a carrot, sliced very thin. boil the broth andd carrots first, then slowly drop eggs in, shut off heat and serve with spring onion on top.takes about six minutes start to finish. gen tso’s chicken…take chicken breast and cube into bite size pieces. stir fry with 1 T soy sauce, 2 TB brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon sesame seed and poppy seed, 1/2 teaspoon hot chili sauce, 1/4 white pepper. takes about five minutes to cook.

Totally agree with Suze’s answer … some pets are just best left alone!
