ya know..i never thought………

that I would be sharing recipes on this blog.

I saw it as a snarling, snarky political and family history blog………what did I know?

I also never thought I would become so willing to share so openly with total strangers.

Except, after a while all of you have become so much more than “strangers”…you have become friends……..family.……….people that I truly care about.

I never thought this blog would bring such riches into my life.

The art on my walls,

the food that I cook

.

..even the colors in my house

…………they have come from other readers…other writers.

I was reminded this morning by good ol WP that I have been “blogging” for seven years………….and I thought “no, that can’t be right”…but there it is. I checked the first post of mine from “blogger’ and it is indeed seven years.

In that time, I have “met” over 2600 people through their comments and posts………..I have learned new skills (weaving for example) by reading other’s posts……….I have opened up to others about past abuse and pain……………shared the good times and the bad.

Thank you for being here for me.

If it weren’t for you all, I would never have gone to Guatemala to dig wells, build homes and schools………..

I would never have found the courage to move to a new state………..

Government Springs park

I never would have attempted crafts that I thought too difficult to learn……..

I never would have survived dealing with my husband’s near death and surgery.

I would have collapsed without your love and encouragement.

Thank you.
