After a solid week of lovely weather..blue skies, cool breezes and moderate temps whereby all sorts of outdoor chores were accomplished, it has once again decided by the weather gods that Oklahoma should see cold, wet, yucky weather.
To be stuck indoors is NOT my idea of a good time (even though I managed to marathon Downton Abbey last night) so I am off to my friends house to see what mischief we can get up to.
Yesterday we had a yard sale..and it was beyond successful. We originally wanted to make enough to fix Angie’s van…and ended up with enough to fix the van, buy several gallons of paint (enough for two rooms) and for me to get some additional camp cooking gear.
If all goes well, I will be away from home for a week the third week in April…camping at a new to me park. Red Rock Canyon is about two hours away by car, and ids absolutely gorgeous from the website pictures.
We have never been there so t should be interesting as well as restful.
I mentioned new cooking gear……I ordered three things. A rotary cheese grater (which also does veg)
a Melitta drip coffee pot with a stainless carafe to keep coffee hot
a new waffle iron.
Yes, I glamp. I used to camp..carrying only what I could on my back and foraging for berries, going fishing to eat. Not anymore. Now, I glamour up the tents and the site to make life very pleasant while camping. I always choose an RV site so we have water and electricity. I adore having the ability to listen to music on the radio, or plus in an appliance or twelve.
I’d like to hang fairy lights around the site but have yet to choose a style I can live with. No plain white sparkly lights for me…but I don’t like chili shaped lights..or Christmas lights. I like Japanese lanterns but finding a string of them is difficult. I haven’t given up though.
I was planning on doing the a-z challenge, so it looks like i am going to have to learn how to schedule posts…wish me luck! Computer stuff is usually beyond me.
